Donna Stewart, RN, BS, CIC

Ms. Stewart has been an independent consultant for the past six years, utilizing her 30 years of nursing experience, as well as a certification in Infection Control to help many ASCs develop an Infection Prevention program. Her many years of clinical experience and additional education have assisted her in becoming one of the leading experts in infection control for the ambulatory care setting.|

Ms. Stewart is also an accomplished author. In 2005, she co-authored the textbook Ambulatory Surgery, Safety Policies and Procedures, published by the Association of perioperative Nurses (AORN). She is the author of Fire and Life Safety for Surgical Services, April 2003, and Surgical Services Manager, a publication of AORN. Ms. Stewart has been a speaker and workshop leader on Infection Control in the ASC Setting for ASC companies and AORN national programs since 1997. She has been certified in Infection Control through the Association for Professionals in Infection Control (APIC) for the past 15 years. .
