CMS is not the only government agency that is keenly interested in ASC infection control practices. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration has many rules that affect ambulatory surgery centers and their employees. They have great authority to inspect and fine facilities.

Sandra Bennett
Sandra Bennett is the Manger of Training & Educations for Tennessee Occupational Safety and Health Administration. Sandra received her MS in Biochemistry the Vanderbilt University and trained at the OSHA National Training Institute in Chicago. Sandra has been with TOSHA for 25 years. Her expertise in occupational safety and health include: Bloodborne Pathogens, Hazardous Chemicals, Safety and Health in Health Care Facilities, Occupational Noise, Hazard Communication, and Basic Industrial Hygiene.
